Date Released - 26/09/2022

JOB OPPORTUNITIES are available across Tameside Council Adult Care Services for applicants for roles supporting individuals and families across the borough.

Successful candidates will join passionate teams that work to build empowered local communities for adults and families by working in partnership with them.

The aim is to help people live well at home by working in integrated teams, which include social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, GPs and voluntary organisations.

New recruits will benefit from an experienced, strong and supportive leadership and will be included in the council’s transformation journey.

There are plenty of reasons why Tameside Council Adults service is a great place to work: including supportive integrated teams; a friendly working environment; flexible working opportunities and high quality supervision, which focuses on professional development.

Positions are available across the Adults Care Service and they include social worker, occupational therapist, assessor, patch coordinator as well as others.

Managers support staff so they can grow and meet their career aspirations, while there are also opportunities for creativity and innovation in the workplace.

Staff receive professional pay grades, which increases in line with their professional development, and support is available for recruits who want to achieve further qualifications.

Cllr John Taylor, Tameside Council executive member for Adult Social Care, Homelessness and Inclusivity, said: “We’ve got some fantastic opportunities available to join our Adult Services teams and I encourage anyone passionate about achieving positive outcomes for adults to get in touch. Across these teams, we work hard protecting the most vulnerable in our communities where we provide high quality health and social care services.”
